Shifted Perspectives

Hada knows better than to go out in to the woods at night. His grandmother has warned him about it many times. But he feels the need to go; he just wants to check on his traps and he'll be back soon. 

Of course things don't go that way and a chance encounter with a mysterious individual will prove to change everything Hada knows about themselves, their life and the things that matter to them...

Shifted Perspectives is a queer/trans, short story with fantastical elements, dealing with gender identity and the joys that can come with it, but also the struggles to keep it. It can get a little dark, but I hope that the hopeful elements stand out more. 

I wrote this story back in 2023, when I was really struggling to deal with my own identity. It was originally published on my other pages. It is free to read and download, but if you'd like toss a coin my way, I'd be eternally grateful~
