My mother showed up at my home. 

She made me so long ago. I did not like what she made me to be. So I changed myself.

We haven't spoken since. I don't know what she wants. But I'm scared to disobey her. 

I have to let her in.

Patchwork is a short, 4000 word, body-horror story about a doll who's forced to confront her mother-maker again with all the potential danger that comes with it. It is a story about dealing with family, and not being able to say no.
